AQ Safety offers quantitative respirator fit testing on many models of tight-fitting and disposable respirators. We can test at your work site, whether it's in Albuquerque, Los Alamos, Santa Fe, Española, Grants, Socorro, Gallup, Taos, Clovis, Roswell, Farmington, Artesia, Hobbs, Carlsbad or elsewhere. If you have your own masks, AQ Safety more than likely already has the adapters needed to perform fit tests. If not, we can obtain the proper adapter in a matter of days. Just let us know in advance what you use, and bring it along when you are tested. We can fit
- any disposable filtering N95 or N00 facepiece
- any mask having the standard NATO or DIN 40-mm threaded connection
- any Sperian/Survivair pressure demand mask that uses a mask-mounted regulator
- any Sperian/Survivair, MSA or North respirator using threaded cartridges
- any 3M or MSA respirator using bayonet-style (quarter turn) cartridges
If you prefer to maintain your own set of respirators exclusively for fit testing use, AQ Safety can permanently probe these masks for you. (NOTE: once a respirator has been permanently probed, it can no longer be worn into a hazardous atmosphere.)
Quality
Our fit tests meet the requirements of applicable Coast Guard, MSHA, NRC and OSHA regulations. We work to written procedures that have been reviewed and approved by our Certified Industrial Hygienist.
Testing is done using a TSI Porta Count Pro Model 8038, which is annually recalibrated and serviced by the manufacturer, TSI, Inc. TSI is ISO accredited - for specifications, see www.TSI.com
At Your Location or Our Offices
You can send your staff to our Albuquerque offices for fit testing, or we can come to your site in Los Alamos, Santa Fe, Española, Grants, Socorro, Gallup, Taos, Clovis, Roswell, Farmington, Artesia, Hobbs, Carlsbad, or elsewhere - call or email us for more information. The fit test team that we send is sized to meet your project size and schedule. We can fit-test around the clock if your site has multiple shifts.
We provide a signed certificate of the fit test results and a laminated card which can be worn on a lanyard.
